Coming Events!

Nityananda Trayodashi
February 1, 2015

Sunday, February 1st
Nityananda Trayodashi is the appearance day of Lord Nityananda, who is none other than Lord Balarama, the eternal associate of Lord Krishna and the original spiritual master of everyone. He is also one of the presiding Deities at our ISKCON Hillsboro temple. Lord Nityananda offers the pure love of Godhead to everyone with both hands. He never discriminates whether one is degraded or qualified. Throughout the Chaitanya-Charitamrta, we read of Lord Nityananda's ecstatic sankirtan pastimes throughout Bengal and Orissa, where he sometimes traveled alone as an avadhuta preacher, and sometimes as the companion of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and His traveling party. Join us on Sunday, Feb 1st to hear more glories of Lord Nityananda.

11:00-12:00 - Kirtan with Abhishek
12:00-12:45 - Class
12:45 – 1:15 - Aarti / Kirtan
1:30 - Prasadam

Sponsorship opportunities exist for various expenses related to the festival like Bhoga, Garlands, Decoration and Abhishek. Please contact the temple president at jainautiyal@comcast.net if you wish to sponsor any of the items above.

There are many volunteer opportunities every Sunday as well as on special festival days. If you would like to volunteer, please write to us at info@iskconportland.com. Please let us help you find something that matches your skills, interests, and available time! Thank you!
