Please join in the wonderful opportunity to pull the ratha (chariot) of Lord Jagannatha and spread the holy name of Lord Krishna in the heart of Portland on Saturday, August 2nd!

Jagannath Rath Yatra, also known as the Festival of Chariots, is a joyous occasion where the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra are taken on a procession in elaborately decorated wooden chariots, accompanied by ecstatic kirtan and celebrations. Don’t miss the opportunity!

There will be FREE vegetarian prasadam at the end of the procession at the assembly venue, starting around 1pm.

*Update* - There is no dress code!

Ratha Yatra Route

From SW Salmon St between SW 1st Avenue & SW Naito Pkwy to SW Ash St & SW Naito Pkwy and back (only using green bike/walking lane).

*SW Salmon St, between SW 1st Ave and SW Naito Pkwy, closed for Darshan and prasadam.

Parking Details

All P’s are parkings and Green Arrows are 2 hour or 5 hour Street Parking. Parking is not free on Saturdays in Downtown. It’s $3 per hour. Alternatively people could park in Trimet station parking lot in Beaverton or Hillsboro and take a max and get down at Yamhill District Max Station. Just 2 blocks away from Rath yatra starting point.
