Govardhan Puja and Diwali

Govardhan puja/Deepavali celebrations - Oct 19th and Oct 21st

Please join us in celebrating Diwali and Govardhan puja festivals.

Sunday, October 19th, 11 AM onwards:

We will have multiple dance/bhajan offerings by devotees to celebrate the two festivals. We are starting 30 minutes earlier than the regular Sunday feast program time (11 AM instead of 11:30 AM) to accomodate the large number of participants.

Program Schedule:

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM - Devotional bhajans/dances

12:30 PM - 1:00 PM - Aarti/Kirtan

1:00 PM - 1:30 PM - Damodar ashtakam with offering of ghee lamps

Lunch prasadam to follow

Tuesday, October 21st, evening:

There will be a class on Govardhan pastime and devotees will have opportunity to bring sweets/savories for the deities. This is the only day of the year when bhoga cooked at all devotees' homes is offered at the temple altar. Please bring your offerings by 5 PM.

Program schedule:

6:00 - 6:30 PM - Kirtan

6:30 - 7:15 PM - Class

7:15 - 7:45 PM - Damodar-ashtakam, Aarti

7:45 PM - Prasadam
